Tolga Sencer
Born Istanbul, Turkey 1985
A Turkish interior and product designer, Sencer creates furniture collections that ‘feel good’ and reflect his authentic, idiosyncratic aesthetic vocabulary. His process resists the reactionary drive towards instantaneous solutions in modern life, producing designs that take time to reveal themselves. With references to Turkish antiquity, he designs linear, sculptural forms that evoke harmony. Combining stark modernity with nature and nostalgia, Sencer’s furniture is a unique expression of his personal perspective and is rooted in artisanal production techniques
After graduating from Bilkent University with a degree in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Sencer moved to Istanbul, where he worked in Turkey’s leading architectural firms as an interior designer and project director before founding his own design studio
