Brent Warr
Born Georgia, USA, 1997
An Atlanta-based furniture maker, Warr is noted for his bold, whimsical, and elegant sculptural art, collectible furniture, and lighting. Warr’s designs challenge us to see familiar forms anew and explore more imaginative parts of ourselves. Passionate about process, he explores form and function to breathe new life into materials not typically used in furniture making, along with plaster, fiberglass, steel, wood, and paint
With a bold yet restrained aesthetic vocabulary, Warr focuses on the total composition of a piece rather than its individual parts. Particularly inspired by Brancusi and Cy Twombly, he uses a broad spectrum of mixed media including plaster, wood, acrylic, oil paint, pen, charcoal, and twine to create surprising and ingenious pieces. Playful yet sophisticated, Warr’s work reinvents and reinvigorates classical forms, proportions, and lines
A graduate of the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction at Auburn University, Warr went to work as a Designer for Meyer Davis Studio and Yabu Pushelberg in New York City. There, his eye for design evolved as he was exposed to global collective design and high-end clientele. After launching his studio in 2020, his work has been published in leading international design and architecture magazines including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, and Interior Design Magazine
