The MARE Collection is a series of wall mirrors that explores the relationship between reflection, surface, and movement through the medium of cast bronze. Composed in both round and oval formats, the works are defined by a sculptural frame that transforms the mirror into an object of material and spatial depth

Each frame is formed from an assembly of irregular bronze elements, their contours shaped to evoke forms found in nature: stones worn smooth by water, fragments shaped by tides, or the shifting bodies of marine life. These elements gather around the mirrored surface in a rhythm that feels both organic and constructed. The perimeter remains intentionally unsettled. Rather than adhering to a fixed geometry, it expands and contracts, creating a sense of continuous motion. This dynamic edge gives each work a fluid presence, as though the form were still in the process of being shaped

At the center, the mirror is held like a precise and luminous plane, set in contrast to the raw, tactile density of the bronze. This juxtaposition heightens the perceptual experience of the work. Reflection appears clear and immediate, while the surrounding material absorbs light, creating depth, shadow, and variation. each work engages both the reflected image and the structure that surrounds it, creating a layered visual field that changes over time

Handcrafted in Italy and produced in limited edition, the works of the MARE Collection transform a familiar object into a sculptural presence. Each stands as a meditation on material, movement, and the shifting boundary between surface, light, and reflection

BIOGRAPHY

Simone Fanciullacci

Born Genova, Italy, 1982

A Milanese designer, Fanciullacci considers his practice to be artistic research on THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FORM AND SPACE. THE AIM BEHIND THIS QUEST IS TO UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE VOLUMES THAT GIVE LIFE TO A FORM, THE RHYTHM THAT CHARACTERIZES THEM, AND THE sense of BALANCE or DISEQUILIBRIUM THAT THEY EVOKE. His extraordinary sculptural works EMERGe FROM an EXPLORATory process OF HANDS-ON experimentation IN SCULPTURE, COLLAGE, DRAWING, and technical innovation. In This AESTHETIC AND POETIC INVESTIGATION, Fanciullacci finds FREEdom in playing WITH DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AND MATERIALS, eventually giving LIFE TO his UNIQUE WORKS AND OBJECTS

Fanciullacci produces his singular works in CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH the finest ITALIAN CRAFTSMEN. Because of his long lasting collaborative relationships with several local artisans, Fanciullacci is able to explore a range of ancient and innovative techniques alike, along with the possibilities of exquisite materials, such as bronze, aluminum, marble, stone and solid wood. each work is fully customizable and is crafted WITH THE AIM OF LASTING FOR generations, MAKing THE ACT OF COLLECTING A SUSTAINABLE CULTURAL STATEMENT
