With the Croisette Collection, Fanciullacci draws conceptual and formal inspiration from the tradition of 19th-century European outdoor furniture, historically crafted from wrought or cast iron and often found in public gardens, promenades, and private terraces. Named for the iconic boulevard in Cannes—long associated with pleasure, elegance, and Mediterranean modernity—Croisette evokes a cultural landscape where refined outdoor living and sculptural design converge

Fanciullacci distills this lineage into a sculptural vocabulary that reclaims the decorative object as a site of subtle transformation. Rather than replicating historic motifs, Croisette strips them to their structural essence: bronze replaces iron, weight is reimagined as gesture, and ornament becomes asymmetry. The generous armrests and shield-like backrests echo the enveloping curves of their 19th-century precursors but do so with an architectural clarity that resists nostalgia

Each element in the collection is cast and sculpted by hand, resulting in subtle irregularities and formal deviations that animate the surfaces and break with mechanical precision. Soft, oversized cushions upholstered in Fischbacher high-performance outdoor textiles add a sensuous counterpoint to the cool solidity of the bronze structures. Travertine tabletops crown the collection’s dining and occasional tables, the porosity and veining of which reinforce the dynamic and capricious spirit of the works

Handcrafted in Italy, Croisette is a masterful study in reinterpretation, at once referential and forward-looking, that invites us to daydream of simpler times while remaining resolutely grounded in the present

Simone Fanciullacci

Born Genova, Italy, 1982

A Milanese artist, Fanciullacci considers his practice to be artistic research on THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FORM AND SPACE. THE AIM BEHIND THIS QUEST IS TO UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE VOLUMES THAT GIVE LIFE TO A FORM, THE RHYTHM THAT CHARACTERIZES THEM, AND THE sense of BALANCE or DISEQUILIBRIUM THAT THEY EVOKE. His extraordinary sculptural works EMERGe FROM an EXPLORATory process OF HANDS-ON experimentation IN SCULPTURE, COLLAGE, DRAWING, and technical innovation. In This AESTHETIC AND POETIC INVESTIGATION, Fanciullacci finds FREEdom in playing WITH DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AND MATERIALS, eventually giving LIFE TO his UNIQUE WORKS AND OBJECTS
