Ateliers Pinton
Founded Aubusson, France, 1867
For nearly 150 years, Pinton has been making exceptional rugs and masterful wall tapestries. From generation to generation, the PINTON family have been working in trades related to tapestry and rug-making.At PINTON, the word “know-how” is not brandished in vain or misused. Techniques are mastered, men and women are sensitive and passionate, particular attention is paid to the origin of materials as well as to the materials themselves, and the transfer of skills and knowledge is valued – all contributing to the unparalleled expertise of the ateliers.
the history of PINTON has punctuated with fruitful collaborations and fascinating encounters, including collaborations with modern artists including calder, Picasso, and Cocteau, who were attracted by the distinctive manufacturing process and the unique finish produced by the materials. But pinton is also marked by the wealth of talents in its midst.
