COGOLIN
La Manufacture Cogolin
Founded France, 1924
Legendary for exceptional craftsmanship and tradition, Cogolin has produced rugs of unrivaled elegance, hand-knotted or woven by local craftswomen on 19th Century looms in a small village near Saint-Tropez, since 1924. La Manufacture Cogolin and its talented artisans draw on the heritage of the past and innovations of the present. Its floral and geometric high-relief patterns and colorful palette remain as recognizable as ever, decorating palaces, embassies, luxurious residences and yachts around the world
In 1928, visionary textile engineer Jean Lauer purchased the workshop that would become La Manufacture Cogolin. Lauer’s groundbreaking innovations helped propel the brand to international renown and made it a sought-after collaborator with many of Europe’s finest designers, such as Jules Leleu, Christian Bérard, India Mahdavi, Jean-Michel Frank and Jean Cocteau
