Mood of the Month

Industrial pretty, blush brutalism, pastel punk… we may still be workshopping what to call it, but we are obsessed with the duality of softness and edge ushering us into 2025. It’s an ultra-contemporary look that’s been inspired by retail design, but here, we delve into how to make it work for the home

The interior

Despite its recent revival on the back of a wave of Barbie appreciation, pink can still be a divisive colour. Balancing its inherent prettiness is all about what shade you select (for this we suggest a pale pink) and what you choose to pair it with. That’s why this particular look, which tempers the hue’s frothier connotations with metal and then calms things down further with a layer of milky cream, is such a delectable combination. There are many ways to hit the right note, though, and that’s what we will dive into here, learning lessons from some of the world’s top interior designers
