RUEMMLER

Ruemmler

FOUNDED NEW YORK, USA, 2008

Ruemmler principals Ariel Ashe and Reinaldo Leandro draw on their backgrounds in set design and architecture to craft spaces with clear narratives referencing art, design, and culture. Whether the context is residential, commercial, or communal, the designers explore the relationships between the project and its surroundings, mixing natural materials in different textures and patterns to create beautiful, distinctive interiors. Drawn to the tension between the clean and minimal architecture and the more organic shapes of the furniture, Ashe and Leandro are guided by an aesthetic philosophy of instinct, humor, and honesty

Prior to founding their interior design and furniture company, Ashe studied design at New York University and worked as a set designer for Saturday Night Live. Leandro studied architecture in Venezuela before moving to the United States to complete his master’s degree in architecture at Columbia University
