The ALA Collection is a study in material force and sculptural presence, where cast bronze is treated not as a refined surface but as a living, reactive substance. Comprised of a stool or low table, a bench, and a console, Fanciullacci’s series is defined by a raw, tactile language that foregrounds the inherent weight and irregularity of the metal

Each work is shaped through traditional casting techniques that preserve the immediacy of the artist’s hand. Surfaces remain intentionally uneven, marked by subtle variations that evoke erosion, pressure, and time. This textured finish lends the bronze a primal character, as though the forms had emerged from the ground rather than been fabricated

A defining gesture of the collection lies in the relationship between support and surface. The legs do not simply meet the top but appear to push through it, disrupting its plane in a way that recalls the slow force of roots breaking through earth. This displacement creates a sense of internal movement within otherwise stable forms, giving each work a dynamic and slightly unsettled silhouette

Despite this rawness, the compositions remain carefully controlled. Proportions are measured, volumes are balanced, and each intervention is deliberate. The result is a restrained rusticity that feels both elemental and composed, objects that carry the presence of something found while revealing a clear authorial intention

Handcrafted in Italy and in limited edition, the works of the ALA Collection assert themselves with quiet monumentality that feels at once primordial and resolutely contemporary

Born Genova, Italy, 1982

A Milanese designer, Fanciullacci considers his practice to be artistic research on THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FORM AND SPACE.
