The ASC collection consists of three sculptural objects that operate as investigations into resin’s capacity to mediate light, depth, and perception. Rather than advancing a singular narrative, the works materialize as the distilled outcome of Koronis’ sustained research into the behavior of resin under varying conditions of thickness, finish, and illumination. In doing so, the ASC collection captures light as both matter and memory, holding it in shifting states that hover between solidity and dissolution

Each work is structured through the juxtaposition of polished and sandblasted surfaces. The glossy, mirror-like planes compress and redirect the surrounding environment into sharp reflections, while the matte, diffused areas dissolve form into soft gradients. This oscillation between optical registers creates a mutable field of perception that shifts continuously as the viewer moves

Activated by changes in natural or artificial light, the works reveal an internal stratigraphy: edges flare and recede, masses gain or lose weight, and transparency hovers between opacity and clarity. Resisting fixity, each object alternates between presence and withdrawal, asserting itself in one moment only to appear dissolved in the next

Handcrafted in the Netherlands by Ateliers S.T.R.S and in strictly limited edition, the ASC collection stages an ongoing dialogue between solidity and fluidity, object and atmosphere. The works are less declarations than quiet experiments that transform their context through the subtle but inexhaustible phenomena of reflection, refraction, and translucence

NIKO KORONIS

Niko Koronis

Born Thessaloniki, Greece, 1973

A Greek Milan-based Architect and Product Designer, Koronis creates radically expressive minimalist furniture collections, often defined by geometric form. Daring in his use of materials, he undertakes long and delicate production processes to create beautifully crafted pieces of ‘small scale architectural entities.’ With this experimental approach and an encyclopedic design vocabulary, Koronis blurs the boundaries between nature and artifice, material and form, rigidity and play. His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale and the Triennale di Milano

With Master’s degrees in Architecture and Product Design, as well as a Ph.D. in Architecture from the Architectural Association in London, Koronis has taught at universities around the world, including fellowships at Central Saint Martins and the Alvar Aalto Foundation
