Thierry Lemaire
Born Paris, France, 1960
An interior and furniture designer in the great tradition of French decorative arts, Lemaire applies his timeless, elegant, and intimate style to compose pieces that combine exquisite raw materials, sophisticated vision, and extraordinary attention to detail. World-renowned for his architectural approach to furniture, Lemaire’s designs are the epitome of contemporary luxury: at once glamorous and comfortable, sculptural and functional, ultra-modern and utterly classic. Working with master craftsmen at his atelier in Paris, Lemaire combines centuries-old artisanship with his singular passion and genius for sensual modernism
As an interior architect, Lemaire has created exquisite public and private spaces, from London to Paris to Marrakech to Gstaad, that bear his unmistakable stylistic signature of radical simplicity and extreme sophistication. Whether it’s for his prestigious building sites or for his high-end furniture pieces, Lemaire’s work is rooted in noble, strong, and timeless materials, such as marble, bronze, ebony, and lacquers
Since founding his gallery in 2017, Lemaire has designed the contemporary furniture collections for Fendi Casa, as well as selected pieces for Dior. In recognition of his excellence, the Mobilier National of France asked him to redesign several reception rooms of the Élysée Palace, the official residence of the President of France
