The COMMA Collection is a family of stools and benches shaped by a direct and elemental approach to form. Cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax technique, the works draw on the language of early utilitarian seating, where function dictated structure and ornament was absent

Each work is defined by thick, grounded volumes and a distinctly tactile surface. The bronze retains the irregularities of the casting process, producing a textured skin that feels alive with variation. This material presence reinforces the sense of weight and permanence, giving even the smallest forms a quiet gravity

The proportions are simple and deliberate. Low stools, taller variations, and benches share a common vocabulary of solid tops and organic supports, whose softened contours suggest forms shaped through use rather than design. The legs appear almost grown rather than constructed, anchoring each work with a sense of archaic stability

Despite their apparent simplicity, the works carry a strong sculptural presence. They recall the straightforward seating found in rural interiors, objects made to endure and to serve, yet here translated into bronze with a heightened awareness of form and surface

Handcrafted in Italy and produced in limited edition, the works of the COMMA Collection transform familiar archetypes into lasting objects. Each work carries the impression of something remembered rather than invented, like a family heirloom fixed in metal, where use, time, and memory are held in a single, enduring form

BIOGRAPHY

Simone Fanciullacci

Born Genova, Italy, 1982

A Milanese designer, Fanciullacci considers his practice to be artistic research on THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FORM AND SPACE. THE AIM BEHIND THIS QUEST IS TO UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE VOLUMES THAT GIVE LIFE TO A FORM, THE RHYTHM THAT CHARACTERIZES THEM, AND THE sense of BALANCE or DISEQUILIBRIUM THAT THEY EVOKE. His extraordinary sculptural works EMERGe FROM an EXPLORATory process OF HANDS-ON experimentation IN SCULPTURE, COLLAGE, DRAWING, and technical innovation. In This AESTHETIC AND POETIC INVESTIGATION, Fanciullacci finds FREEdom in playing WITH DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AND MATERIALS, eventually giving LIFE TO his UNIQUE WORKS AND OBJECTS

Fanciullacci produces his singular works in CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH the finest ITALIAN CRAFTSMEN. Because of his long lasting collaborative relationships with several local artisans, Fanciullacci is able to explore a range of ancient and innovative techniques alike, along with the possibilities of exquisite materials, such as bronze, aluminum, marble, stone and solid wood. each work is fully customizable and is crafted WITH THE AIM OF LASTING FOR generations, MAKing THE ACT OF COLLECTING A SUSTAINABLE CULTURAL STATEMENT
