ETERNITY CHAIR RESIN BY ARDA YENIAY

The Eternity Resin Chair marks the most recent and progressive evolution of Yeniay’s already-iconic Eternity series. Since its inception, the Eternity Chair has been concerned with continuity, softness, and a sense of timeless presence. Earlier one-piece marble editions approached the object as a near-sculptural monolith, emphasizing mass, gravity, and permanence, while the stainless steel version introduced a cooler, more precise, and architectural reading of the form

The transition to resin represents a natural yet decisive next step in this ongoing exploration. The resin edition introduces a new pop, playful, and subtly irreverent identity to the Eternity family, without compromising its core DNA. Through the use of color-blocked resin, the chair’s fluid geometry is further accentuated, heightening its softness and tactile appeal while allowing the form to appear lighter, more expressive, and emotionally engaging. Resin offers a freedom of articulation that amplifies the chair’s continuous lines and flowing surfaces, enabling a new visual language that remains faithful to the original design intent

The Eternity Resin Chair is crafted in collaboration with the exceptional team at STRS in Rotterdam, an internationally recognized studio specializing in hand-cast resin production. The development process was intentionally fluid and intuitive. During production, a series of material and casting experiments were undertaken to identify the most refined and coherent method for translating the Eternity Chair into resin. Through this iterative dialogue between designer and maker, the chair gradually took form, fully realizing the intended softness, continuity, and sense of motion embedded in the design

The resin editions are produced in an opaque finish, preserving the visual purity of the form while discreetly concealing connection points and technical details. What emerges is a chair that balances innovation with continuity: a new chapter in the Eternity series that feels both playful and assured, expressive yet enduring
