Georgios Kontaxakis
Born CHANIA, Greece, 1983
A greek architect, furniture, and interior designer, Kontaxakis is guided by a strong aesthetic Philosophy that blends a monumental classical vocabulary with a contemporary minimalist sensibility. His bold, sculptural works transform spaces with their strong sense of personality, impeccable quality, and resolute functionality. Prior to founding his eponymous practice in Crete in 2021, Kontaxakis worked in various architectural practices in Paris, designing residences, luxury retail stores, hotels, and objects across Europe. He is a graduate of the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens and L’Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris. His work has been celebrated in premier design publications in greece and throughout europe
