GIÒ

Drawing inspiration from the oeuvre of Giò Ponti, the father of Italian design, the Giò collection is a celebration to the mastery of Italian craftsmanship, blending sculptural sophistication with architectural precision. The tables in this series evoke the shape of a diamond — a recurring motif in Ponti’s work — with striking lines and geometric volumes, structural clarity and refinement

Each table is crafted from entirely of stone with the bold, multifaceted surfaces of the tops commanding immediate attention. The interplay of sharp angles and smooth planes offers a sense of both monumentality and suspension. Mirroring that dynamic structure, the table legs combine the majesty of classical pedestals with a modern sense of counterpoint, lightness, and minimalism. Ingeniously constructed by assembling marble slabs around a wooden core, the table retains the look of solid stone without its impractical weight, ensuring the functionality of each work without compromising the monumental presence

The works in the Giò collection are available in an array of rare and exquisite marbles, each chosen for its unique color and veining. Arabescato Viola offers a dramatic contrast with its swirling patterns, while Bardiglio Trambisera’s cool gray hue adds a sense of restraint. Green Onyx, with its translucent layers, provides a striking and luminous finish. From the opulence of Gold Calacatta and the timeless elegance of White Carrara, to the deep, rich tones of Green Alpi and Sahara Noir, each stone invites its own unique a dialogue between nature’s raw beauty and the precision of modernist design

Handcrafted in Italy, Giò is a celebration of volumetric form, cubist clarity, and the enduring legacy of Italian design. In strictly limited edition, the Giò collection is exclusive to STUDIOTWENTYSEVEN
