A French interior architect and furniture designer, Gonzalez is renowned for her inventive use of rich patterns, textures, and joyful details. Known for her chic mix-and-match style, she creates pieces and spaces that exude a vibrant boldness tempered by elegant romanticism. Drawing inspiration from the classical world imbued with contemporary sophistication, Gonzalez’s work is rich with diverse cultural influences from Chinese and Indian to French and Spanish. Her eye for pairing palettes and her hallmark whimsical touches have transformed her into one the world’s most popular designers

To create her furniture and object collection, gonzalez collaborates closely with artisans working in the tradition of fine French craftsmanship, including Pierre Frey and le19m. Her deep knowledge and respect for the rich history of French decorative arts give her work an unparalleled timelessness and sophistication

After training at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Malaquais, gonzalez established her architecture and design studio in 2oo8. She has created awe inspiring interiors for luxury hotels, private residences, restaurants, and brands around the world, including CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN, PIERRE HERMÉ, and

celebrated renovations of the Cartier flagship stores in new york and Paris. Her work has been lauded in virtually every leading design publication and is the subject of a Rizzoli monograph

GRANCHIO CABINET

INSPIRED BY A DRAWING MADE BY LAURA’S 5-YEAR-OLD SON. THIS CRAB STANDING ON ITS LEGS IS DRESSED IN PRECIOUS WOOD MARQUETRY (TAMO, MADRONE, POPLAR), WITH HAMMERED BRASS HANDLES AS EYES. IT CONTAINS TWO ILLUMINATED SHELVES, ONE OF WHICH ALLOWS PLACING BOTTLES ON A LUMINOUS PODIUM, AS WELL AS TWO DRAWERS FULLY COATED, WITH A WAVE HANDLE. THE INTERIOR OF THE DOORS AND THE BACK OF THE CABINET ARE COVERED WITH MIRRORS MULTIPLYING THE CONTENTS OF THE MINIBAR
