The LEDA Sculptural chair translates the dense, sinuous lines of Dalí’s Surrealist universe into a fully realized sculptural seat. Executed in polished brass, the chair envelops the sitter within a continuous, curving form that is at once protective and expressive
The design is directly inspired by Dalí’s painting Woman with a Head of Roses (1935), in which the female figure becomes a site of metamorphosis and symbolic tension. In LEDA, this imagery is brought into the three-dimensional world: a brass body shapes the seat, while an elongated arm curves around to form the backrest, terminating in a sculpted hand that clasps the armrest. The figure rests on three slender legs that taper downward into gleaming high heels, reinforcing the anthropomorphic presence of the piece
Both functional and theatrical, the armchair reproduces the psychological intensity and formal fluidity of Dalí’s work. Its expressive curves echo the artist’s fascination with the human body as architecture, transforming a place of rest into an object of visual and conceptual charge
The LEDA Armchair is also available in a limited-edition black patina, presented without varnish, offering a darker, more restrained interpretation of the original brass finish
