Although distinctly contemporary, the Romanesque collection revisits the architectural grandeur of medieval Europe with its arches, vaults, and measured gravity. Filtered through a minimalist lens these series of micro-architectures embody both strength and restraint, balancing monumental form with quiet precision

Carved from travertine—the same enduring stone that shaped Roman temples and amphitheaters—these works reveal the material’s natural solemnity and light. Massive yet serene, their thick walls and curved geometries define space as much as they inhabit it, casting shifting plays of shadow and reflection

Extending this architectural language into the realm of comfort, the collection’s armchair translates the same structural sensibility through upholstery and wood. Its sculpted form evokes solidity and repose, offering a tactile counterpoint to the collection’s stonework while preserving its disciplined elegance

Together, these pieces express designer Jimmy Delatour’s devotion to proportion, material, and the timeless dialogue between architecture and furniture—where volume becomes function, and space itself is given form

Born Paris, France, 1985

A French designer and art director, Delatour is driven by his love for architecture and furniture design masters. With sharp, radical Lines and experimentation with shape and material, he combines his contemporary sensibility with inspired references to Louis Kahn, Tadao Ando, and Agustin Hernandez Navarro. Delatour’s first collection of furniture focused on copper and concrete, while his limited edition pieces for STUDIOTWENTYSEVEN are architectural explorations of arches, full volumes, and travertine

Based in Paris, Delatour graduated from ESAG Penninghen in 2008 before founding Delatour Design Paris in 2015. As an art director and brand designer, he has worked on projects for brands including Sonia Rykiel, Hédiard, Rodin Museum, Paris Opera, Orange, and Peugeot
