Since founding their architecture, interior, and furniture firm, French designers Samantha Hauvette and Lucas Madani have been celebrated for their high-end projects in France and worldwide. With complimentary aesthetic vocabularies and artistic practices, the duo has created an instantly recognizable and highly livable style they call “modernism with patina”. Refreshingly idiosyncratic in their combination of various styles and periods, Hauvette & Madani achieve an extraordinary balance of playful ease and refined elegance
Their highly coveted furniture pieces and interiors exude warmth and sumptuousness. Drawing especially on Brutalist principles and the cosmopolitan sensuality of 1970s French and Italian design, Hauvette & Madani are renowned for their sculptural lines and use of lush natural materials such as marble, porcelain, brass, lava stone, richly lacquered wood, and dreamy textiles. They collaborate closely with master artisans in Paris, who craft each piece by hand
Based in Paris, the two met as students at the legendary École Camondo before founding their eponymous firm in 2010. Their designs have been recognized by various international publications and the pair was named one of the AD France 100 in 2022, following their acclaimed renovation of Hotel Wallace in Paris
