Martin Massé
Born Nantes, France, 1990
A Parisian architect and designer, Massé combines the tradition of exceptional French craftsmanship with ultra-contemporary design. With simple, pure proportions and noble materials, Massé composes bold, structural works that are strongly influenced by ancient Italian architecture, Japanese craftsmanship, and the Art Deco movement. At the same time, his pieces reference science fiction, travel, poetry, and cinema. This balance of the ancient and the modern create singularly timeless furniture
Massé trained at Penninghen and L’Ecole Speciale D’Architecture in Paris. He worked with such architects and designers as Joseph Dirand, Tristan Auer, and Jean-Michel Wilmotte before founding his own studio in 2017

Drawing from Cubism and the streamlined aesthetics of early twentieth-century industrial design, Marta evokes the aerodynamic elegance of period locomotives and automobiles. Its silhouettes, defined by bold curves and sharp intersections, capture a sense of engineered momentum—a visual energy that suggests both stability and movement. The juxtaposition of supple contours with rigid seating elements creates a tension that underscores the collection’s formal dynamism
Marta is available in two exquisite materials that create two distinct narratives: white Estremoz marble offers monumentality and luminous grandeur, while black-stained solid oak creates a sense of contemplative depth and intimacy. The marble emphasizes the collection’s sculptural quality, with honed surfaces that enhance the clarity of each line. The oak versions, in contrast, offer organic warmth, with grain and texture that reinforce the structural rigor and sense of movement of each work
