The Paloma Collection by Friedmann & Versace channels the spirit of 1960s Italy, a pivotal moment when design became a language in its own right, a search for balance between structural rigor and formal freedom, between function and emotion. It is this capacity, to create objects that are not only useful but possess a presence, a soul, that grounds the collection

More than furniture, Paloma was conceived to hold its own presence in space. The silhouette emerges from a balance between tension and fluidity, taut and almost graphic lines set against a softness that embraces the body. A dialogue unfolds between the feminine, sensual curve of the barrel back and the dynamic rhythm of the paired, thoughtfully placed legs, guiding the eye as it travels across the piece

The Paloma CHAIR wraps a sculpted, upholstered backrest around a stained beech frame, its dark lacquered legs doubled at the rear for a graphic, architectural stance beneath a seat left soft and enveloping

The Paloma COUNTER STOOL carries the same silhouette to counter height, its curved backrest and paired legs lending the piece a quiet sense of surrender, an invitation to let go

Their approach is characterized by a strong sense of composition, rich combinations of materials, the highlighting of traditional skills as well as the coexistence of styles and eras to create an atmosphere of timeless elegance. Inspired by the grace of Elsa Schiaparelli, the craftsmanship of Carlo Scarpa, the glamour of Gabriella Crespi, and the mystique of Guillermo Del Toro, Friedmann & Versace revel in narrative intrigue to create works imbued with timelessness and character

In their collectible design series, exclusively for STUDIOTWENTYSEVEN, they have created universe at the crossroads of poetry, phantasmagoria, and the best of French craftsmanship. In these sculptural, tactile, and dreamlike works, Friedmann & Versace invite us into their world, with their singular vision, blend of references, and lineage in the French tradition in decorative arts

With a degree in fine arts, Versace began her career as a scenographer in the world of contemporary art before turning to interior architecture, design, and the art of living. After a decade working in product development for luxury brands, Friedmann turned to interior architecture with an innovative vision to create spaces and objects that are both rich with narrative and global perspective

As interior designers, Their work includes the Bambini restaurants at the Palais de Tokyo and Megève, La Pérouse Hotel in Nice, Mosuke restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Mory Sacko, the Cartier boutique in Brussels, and the Procope, the oldest restaurant in Paris. The duo have been named to the AD 100 every year since 2020
