The RODI Collection is a series of modular low tables shaped by the logic of erosion and accumulation. Inspired by tuffaceous coastlines worn by wind and water, the works are composed of layered, asymmetrical volumes whose softened edges suggest forms gradually shaped over time
Each work is defined by the interplay of overlapping elements. Rounded contours meet and extend into one another, creating compositions that feel both continuous and fragmentary, as though carved from a larger mass. The surfaces remain smooth and uninterrupted, reinforcing the sense of a monolithic presence despite the modular construction
Produced in resin-coated and painted polystyrene, the works achieve a balance between lightness and solidity. The material allows for seamless transitions across complex geometries, giving the volumes a unified and continuous skin. Standard finishes in matte or glossy lacquer emphasize the purity of the forms, while alternative materials such as wood, metal, or stone introduce shifts in weight, texture, and tone without altering the underlying structure
The modular system allows each work to stand independently or to combine with others, generating evolving configurations that respond to space. Arranged together, the elements create broader compositions that echo geological formations, where repetition and variation produce a sense of natural rhythm
Handcrafted in Italy and produced in limited edition, the works of the RODI Collection translate processes of erosion into a controlled design language
