The Autan Collection by Boutillier transforms the invisible into form, translating the intangible motion of wind into sculptural furniture. Conceived as an homage to the unseen forces that shape the natural world, the series captures the sensation of air in motion, with all its grace, rhythm, and quiet power, through a language of generous curvature and flowing, organic lines. A meditation on transience, the collection is a celebration of the ephemeral

Each work embodies a moment of suspension, as if the material had been gently molded by a passing breeze and then stilled. In fact, the name of each carries different names for specific winds in French, grounding its abstract beauty in geography and myth. The undulating backrests and soft, continuous volumes evoke gusts of wind caught mid-flight, merging solidity and impermanence in a single gesture

Boutillier’s mastery lies in the tension between form and lightness, where upholstery becomes a medium for movement rather than restraint. The choice of alpaca velvet, with its subtle sheen and shifting tones, enhances this impression of air and fluidity; light glides across its surface as if tracing invisible currents

Handcrafted in France by master artisans, the Autan collection reflects an enduring dialogue between craftsmanship and poetry
