Named for the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, Aleph is a symbol of origin, a single mark believed to contain within it the essence of every letter and form that follows. Fanciullacci channels this idea of infinite beginning into a modular architecture of interlocking bronze rings, translating the ancient, water-worn geometry of hollow river stones into a lighting language that can expand, contract, and reconfigure without end

Each work in the Aleph Collection reads as a chain of irregular bronze forms, cast and patinated to a warm, textured brown, that link and overlap into bodies suspended in constant formal negotiation. Cradled within these rings are hand-blown glass shades, hammered and finished in a rich amber-orange that recall warm, molten cores held safely within stone, establishing a quiet dialogue between the permanence of bronze and the fragile luminosity of glass

Handcrafted in Italy using the lost-wax casting technique, each bronze element begins as a plaster model sculpted entirely by hand, translated into wax before being cast and finished with a natural patina achieved through acids rather than paint. The glass shades are individually blown and hand-hammered, ensuring that every piece within the collection carries its own subtle, unrepeatable variation

Strictly in limited edition, Aleph invites us to consider how a single ancient form, shaped by water and time, can hold within it infinite configurations of an ever-evolving whole

BIOGRAPHY

Simone Fanciullacci

Born Genoa, Italy, 1982

Milanese designer, Fanciullacci considers his practice to be artistic research on THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FORM AND SPACE. THE AIM BEHIND THIS QUEST IS TO UNDERSTAND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE VOLUMES THAT GIVE LIFE TO A FORM, THE RHYTHM THAT CHARACTERIZES THEM, AND THE sense of BALANCE or DISEQUILIBRIUM THAT THEY EVOKE. His extraordinary sculptural works EMERGe FROM an EXPLORATory process OF HANDS-ON experimentation IN SCULPTURE, COLLAGE, DRAWING, and technical innovation. In This AESTHETIC AND POETIC INVESTIGATION, Fanciullacci finds FREEdom in playing WITH DIFFERENT LANGUAGES AND MATERIALS, eventually giving LIFE TO his UNIQUE WORKS AND OBJECTS

Fanciullacci produces his singular works in CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH the finest ITALIAN CRAFTSMEN. Because of his long lasting collaborative relationships with several local artisans, Fanciullacci is able to explore a range of ancient and innovative techniques alike, along with the possibilities of exquisite materials, such as bronze, aluminum, marble, stone and solid wood. each work is fully customizable and is crafted WITH THE AIM OF LASTING FOR generations, MAKing THE ACT OF COLLECTING A SUSTAINABLE CULTURAL STATEMENT

After receiving a degree in product design from the politecnico di milano, Fanciullacci launched his eponymous atelier in 2017. His work has been featured in premier design publications and has received numerous acknowledgments, including the IF Design Award, the Good Design Award, and an honorable mention for the XXII Compasso d’Oro Award.
