Named for the phenomenon of sound returning upon itself, the Echo Collection translates the idea of resonance into light. Fanciullacci shapes fluid, organic rings in dark-patinated bronze that loop and repeat like a sound wave suspended in space, framing conical shades that hang within them like bells waiting to be struck
Each work in the Echo Collection frames and supports conical bronze lampshades finished in a satin sheen, their form resembling bells that house the light source and appear to float effortlessly within the sculptural, fluid framework around them. The interplay between the dark, looping structure and the satin-finished shades creates a dialogue between containment and sound, structure and echo
Handcrafted in Italy, each body is cast in patinated bronze using the lost-wax casting technique. A plaster model is sculpted entirely by hand, from which a mold and wax models are made for casting. Once cast, the bronze is finished with a patina applied by brush, not as paint but as a natural reaction of acids upon the metal’s surface, allowing each piece to carry its own individual tone
