The NUGERE collection draws its essence from the telluric depths of the Massif Central, where volcanic stone carries the memory of ancient fires. Tables, consoles, and side tables emerge from this raw, monolithic, and sculptural material, each piece seeming to have been torn from the earth to become a unique object. The stone, uniform yet dotted with subtle alveoli—traces of its volcanic origin—is worked in its mass, revealing a presence that is both massive and poetic
The tabletop, with its flat and refined surface, reveals underneath a concave curve—a negative mold of Volvic’s extinct craters. This inverted form, a silent tribute to past volcanic activity, creates a contrast between the rigor of the tabletop and the organic memory of the stone. The deep black of the material dialogues with this shape to create a pure expression, where the stone inspires the craft and the craft reveals its essence
Crafted in France by expert artisans, these pieces are the result of a know-how that honors the nobility of the material. Each object is carved, polished, and assembled with precision that pays homage to the elegant rawness of Volvic stone. A dark-stained oak alternative is offered, providing an organic counterpart to this mineral sculpture. The wood, worked with the same rigor, brings a softness that contrasts with the volcanic strictness, while maintaining the sculptural spirit of the collection
The pieces in the NUGERE collection present themselves as intimate architectures imbued with the force of the elements. Their presence, both silent and imposing, transforms the space they inhabit, inviting contemplation of materials and forms. Like a dormant crater, these pieces hold within them the trace of ancient fire, while offering themselves as surfaces for exchange, sharing, and memory
