The Ring Chandelier distills Antonson’s work to its most essential gesture. Reduced to a single, continuous form, it is a classic: quietly confident, adaptable, and enduring, like the perfect white shirt. Its strength lies not in assertion but in restraint, allowing more expressive elements in a space to speak while it holds the composition together
The geometry is pure and deliberate: a suspended circle defined by proportion rather than ornament. Finished in textured, knifed plaster, the surface catches light with subtle irregularity, revealing the hand behind its making and softening the precision of the form. This tactility introduces warmth, ensuring the work never becomes austere
Light is directed upward, where it gathers and disperses as a gentle halo. The effect is atmospheric with an ambient glow that outlines the ring in space and quietly activates the ceiling above, transforming the architecture into part of the composition
At once minimalist and emotionally resonant, the Ring Chandelier feels both contemporary and ancient. It echoes elemental forms that have persisted across cultures and centuries, while remaining unmistakably of the present moment: a foundational object that proves simplicity, when handled with care, can be quietly thrilling
