The Apollo Collection by simone fanciullacci redefines the concept of the mirror, transforming functional objects into evocative wall sculptures crafted entirely in bronze. Here, the reflective surface is not glass but the metal itself—polished to a luminous finish, yet carrying within it the natural imperfections of cast bronze that subtly distort the reflection, lending it a quality that is at once poetic and dreamlike
The design is achieved through a process of subtraction. Beginning from a perfect circular form, portions are eroded to reveal a deeply irregular, tactile surface—raw, craggy, and rich with the marks of time. This material erosion creates a striking contrast with the polished areas, as if the reflection were being slowly reclaimed by nature, worn away at its edges while the center holds its light. Each piece reads differently depending on where the erosion falls—an asymmetry that is never random, always considered
