A German artist and master of ceramics, Stefanie Hering combines her love of porcelain, her artistic talent and her comprehensive artisan knowhow with an innovate vision to create work that has become synonymous with fine dining. After training with master ceramists in Germany and Denmark, hering earned a degree from the Höhr-Grenzhausen School of Ceramic Design and Technology. In 1992, she founded her anonymous atelier in Berlin, producing early collections for Bernardaud, bergdorf goodman, and the museum of modern art. The favorite of 250 Michelin starred restaurants for her bold and uncompromising tableware design, hering has collaborated with Thomas Keller, Daniel boulud, Tom Aikens, and Heinz Winkler.
