A Bras Ouverts is a study in the architecture of welcome—a work in which structural rigor and sensory generosity are held in deliberate tension. The frame, assertive and precisely articulated in dark lacquer or brushed oak, anchors the piece with an unmistakable clarity of form, while the voluminous, rounded cushions—upholstered in Sierra alpaca by Inata—emerge from within it like a gesture of invitation, soft and enveloping against the hardness of the structure

The dialogue between these two material presences is the defining proposition of the work: where the frame imposes discipline, the upholstery yields; where one element commands, the other receives. This interplay generates a subtle but powerful tension—between containment and openness, between the architectural and the bodily—that transforms the act of sitting into something closer to shelter. The contours are calibrated not merely for comfort but for a specific quality of repose: still, protected, unhurried

Stripped of ornament and resolved with remarkable economy of means, A Bras Ouverts distills the idea of refuge into a single cohesive gesture. Handcrafted in France by Ateliers Saint-Jacques Foundation and Siegeair, it exists as both an object of formal precision and an artifact of quiet, contemporary warmth
