Inspired by the elegant leaves of its namesake tree, the Seagrape table combines the majesty of nature and the finest in French craftsmanship. The grand, elegant, and sculptural table invites us to revel in the sublimity of the natural world, where form and function live in perfect harmony. Crafted from Danish white ash trees transformed by a decade of natural drying, the table is infused it with resilience and character. The artisanal process, employing time-honored handicraft techniques such as gouge work, imbues every curve and contour with a sense of organic fluidity, echoing the graceful fan-shaped leaves of the seagrape tree
The distinctive hues that adorn the surface of the table, ranging from copper to rust or reddish-brown, evoke the captivating transformation of the seagrape leaves as they transition through the seasons. These colors are not mere adornments but the result of painstaking experimentation rooted in the revival of 18th-century French cabinet-making techniques. Moreover, the deliberate sanding and humidification process ensures not only the softness but also the durability of the table, making it resilient to the rigors of daily use and the inevitable encounters with wine, water, coffee, and cleaning products
A convergence of french decorative arts and innovative functional design, the Seagrape table is a masterwork of heritage craftsmanship and a meditation on the transcendence of nature. Handcrafted in Denmark, the Seagrape table is in a limited edition of eight and is exclusive to studiotwentyseven
