Inspired by the refined artistry of the Japanese folding fan, the Sensu collection translates an ancient symbol of grace and prosperity into sculptural works of light. Originating in the Heian period more than a thousand years ago, the sensu has long embodied fortune and growth, its unfolding form a metaphor for the expansion of life itself. Traditionally made of bamboo and paper, and often adorned with intricate patterns for courtly rituals, tea ceremonies, and dance, the fan represents both delicacy and discipline, ceremony and breath
Each work in the Sensu collection reinterprets this lineage through a contemporary lens, uniting metal, wood, and glass in a harmonious play of structure and glow. The wooden details recall the craftsmanship of traditional sensu frames, while the diffused light emanates warmth and serenity. Exuberant yet balanced, these collectible lighting works merge cultural reverence with modern minimalism, transforming spaces into havens of quiet radiance
Hand sculpted in India, the Sensu collection invites reflection and a sense of harmony, awakening spaces to contemplation, balance, and calm
