The Hex collection transforms the language of industry into a meditation on form, repetition, and quiet transformation. What begins as a utilitarian form — the hexagonal metal bar, engineered for precision and uniformity — becomes, through Crespin’s vision, something contemplative and unexpectedly organicEach work is composed of these hexagonal bars, arranged in rhythmic variation. The bars rise and fall in subtle shifts of height, creating topographies that recall geological strata or weathered terrain. This modulation of the industrial grid turns rigidity into rhythm as an austere structure dissolves into a landscape of movement and light

The material palette of brass, stainless steel, bronze, or maillechort deepens the dialogue between industry and nature. Under changing illumination, each surface responds differently: polished planes shimmer, brushed textures absorb light, and oxidized tones reveal the quiet passage of time. The eye reads these tables not as static objects but as fields in motion, where precision gives way to atmosphere

Handcrafted by master artisans in France, the Hex collection captures Crespin’s ongoing inquiry into how geometry, repetition, and erosion coexist within a single gesture. Here, what was once mechanical becomes meditative as Crespin transforms industry into poetry

Raphael Crespin

Born Paris, France, 1978

Raphael Crespin is a French architect and designer based in Hong Kong

His approach is often experimental at the intersection of design, art, and architecture. Raphael is particularly interested in exploring the creative potential of emergent digital tools and their ability to address new ways of thinking design and architecture narratives

Prior to establishing his practice, Raphael worked with various offices in Asia and Europe. As a Postdoc Researcher at the Singapore University of Technology and Design, he participated in the Grand Challenge Program for Sustainable Built Environment in association with MIT. One of his most relevant experiences was certainly with dECOi Architects, an architectural firm known for its radical approach where Raphael actively contributed to the development of advanced design strategies for numerous award-winning projects
